Pat Sherwood's paintings have been purchased by Stanford University, San Jose State University, Mills College, Heritage Bank, Bank of America, and the Triton Museum in Santa Clara. Pat's work is in numerous private collections in the U.S. and Europe including the Frans Monsurel Print Atiers in Belgium. She has juried many local art shows including the Stanford University student show. In 1995 the city on San Jose purchased and gave two of her paintings to sister cities in Ireland. Also in 1995 Pat recieved a National Endowment for the Arts award and was listed in Marques "Who's Who."

      Pat has painted in California since 1955 and has taught in the California College system for thirty years (part time at De Anza and Foothill and full time at West Valley in Saratoga). She has been on the boards of the California Print Society and San Francisco Women Artists.

      Pat's work has been displayed at the San Jose Museum, Euphrat Museum, Palo Alto Cultural Center, Triton Museum, Mills College Museum, Los Gatos Museum, Charles & Emma Fry Museum in Seattle, Institute of Contemporary Art in San Jose, Pratt Institute, Boston Museum of Fine Art, and the Columbia Museum in South Carolina. Her works were featured in a solo artist show in 2002 at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara.Other recent solo artist shows include Ocean Street Gallery, Carmel, California, and Calvin Charles Gallery, Scottsdale, Arizona.

      Her work has also been featured on the cover of three scientific journals: Human Molecular Genetics, Mammalian Genome, and Journal of Experimental Zoology.
